Gawsworth Park

Gawsworth Park is owned and maintained by the Parish Council. The park features a tennis court, mini soccer pitch, fitness trail and two children’s play areas. It was redeveloped in 1971 by the Parish Council, with a grand reopening on June 3rd 1972. The playing field was renamed Gawsworth Park, and further enhanced, in 2005 by the Parish Council. The Park is inspected for safety on a regular basis by the village handyman. In 2016 the Parish Council installed a Table Tennis Table.

Tennis Court

To book the tennis court please contact Jane Robertson on 07711 623 356 or at 5 Thornycroft Close. It costs £2 per person per hour for an adult, or £1 per person per hour for those under 16.

Play Areas

The park has two small play areas adjacent to one-another. The enclosed area is recommended for children aged 1-6 years, with the open area for those 6-12. You will find the usual selection of swings, a roundabout, and jungle gym, as well as a zip-line!
