Gawsworth Arts and Social Society have launched a new photography competition – open to all.
You simply take a photo of Gawsworth Life and e-mail it to Gawsworth@btinternet.com
Maybe at a Parish event or just an everyday occurrence. Enjoying a play in the Village Hall, a stroll down Church Lane, a picnic in Nancy’s Wood, playing in the park, spring bulbs making their appearance, Church and Chapel Life, dog walking scenes, community events, taking a bite of Community Shop tiffin, snow and ice, sunshine and showers …. The possibilities are endless.
Let your creativity loose!
They want to have entries from keen photographers and smart phone snappers alike. Everyone can enter 2 or 3 shots that reflect what they see as ‘Gawsworth life’ around the year. There will be an 11-year-old and under special category, so we’d love youngsters to have a go as well. It’s free to enter! Get snapping now.
The plan is to have an exhibition of ‘Gawsworth Life’ photographs in the Autumn where they will display as many prints as possible in the Village Hall. If your print is displayed, you can take away a professionally printed copy.
GASS plan to ask their expert judges to pick 12 special pictures that could make up a Gawsworth calendar for 2019. Maybe your snap could be one of them!
The closing date is mid-October.
You have plenty of time to capture Gawsworth Life through the seasons. Then pick 1, 2 or 3 of your favourite shots and submit them before the closing date. You’ll be able to send digital files from your camera or smart phone or if you want to print them and send a hard copy photograph that’s fine too.
